The GFA-555ms is a very powerful amplifier capable of delivering very large peaks into low impedance. To achieve this, eight sets of specially selected TO-3-type, metal-cased bipolar output transistors are used in the GFA-555ms in a triple-Darlington configuration of its driver and output stages. The safe operating area of these transistors, along with their circuit topology, insures very efficient power delivery to reactive loads, regardless of the phase angle of voltage and current. In addition, no protection or current-limiting circuitry is used in the GFA-555ms which could degrade the signal.

By Jeff Klarich First off Adcom gets a bad rap for the company trading hands a lot in recent years. I have nothing but good to say about sound quality. I use this to bi-amp my center speaker and it does this well. The rca jacks feel cheap but make a good connection . I also run an Adcom 565se for the front speakers. I run them through an Oppo 105 and the sound is better than most higher dollar set up's . If you use Adcom amps with good connections and speakers you will be happy.
